PUBLIC HOLIDAYS 2026

In exercise of the powers of Central Government under section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (XXVI of 1881) entrusted to it by the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs vide its Notification No.39/I/68/JUDI-III/dated the 8th May 1968,the Government of Maharashtra hereby declares the following days as Public Holidays in the State of Maharashtra during the calendar year 2026

Note : NACH (ECS) is working on all 365 days. CTS clearing will be functional on all holidays except CTS holidays. Kindly make note of the same and maintain sufficient balance to avoid CTS Return.

From 1st Aug. 2021, NACH / ECS is working on all 365 days (Including Sundays, 2nd and 4th Saturday and all Holidays). Kindly make a note of the same and maintain sufficient balance in your account to avoid ECS returns.

(B) For Banks (The Following holiday is limited for the Banks only. This holiday is not admissible to the Government Offices.)

CTS clearing will be functional on all holidays except CTS holidays. Kindly make note of the same and maintain sufficient balance to avoid CTS Return.
